Here are some delightful DIY ideas to fill your home with love and a welcoming, homemade atmosphere. We’ve chosen 5 of our favourite Valentine’s Day crafting projects for you to try:

  1. Heartfelt Garland

Materials:

  • Coloured paper or card stock
  • Scissors
  • Glue or tape
  • String

Steps:

  1. Cut the paper or cardstock into squares.
  2. Fold each square in half and cut the corners to create a heart shape (you can use a template or make each one unique).
  3. String the hearts together to create a lovely garland.
  4. Hang the garland across doorways or along the mantel.

 

  1. Love-lit Mason Jars

Materials:

  • Mason jars or old glass jars
  • Red or pink acrylic paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Twine or ribbon
  • Tea lights or fairy lights

Steps:

  1. Paint the exterior of the mason jars with red or pink acrylic paint.
  2. Let them dry completely.
  3. Tie twine or ribbon around the neck of the jars in a bow.
  4. Place tea lights or fairy lights inside the jars.
  5. Scatter these charming jars around your living space for a warm, romantic glow.

 

  1. Grow your own Love Notes Tree

Materials:

  • Small branches or twigs
  • Flowerpot or vase
  • Red or pink paper
  • Scissors
  • String or ribbon

Steps:

  1. Arrange the branches or twigs in the flowerpot or vase.
  2. Cut heart shapes from the red or pink paper.
  3. Punch a hole in the top of each heart and thread a piece of string or ribbon through it.
  4. Tie the hearts onto the branches.
  5. Write love notes on the hearts and hang them on your love notes tree.

 

  1. Valentine’s Day Wreath

Materials:

  • Foam or wire wreath form
  • Artificial flowers in red, pink, and white
  • Ribbon
  • Hot glue gun or craft glue

Instructions:

  1. Attach the artificial flowers to the wreath form using a hot glue gun.
  2. Add a ribbon bow to the bottom of the wreath.
  3. Hang the wreath on doors or walls.
