Over the past 40 years, we at Notaro Care Homes have been building a reputation for delivering the highest standards of dementia and nursing care in our care homes across Somerset and the South West. It’s our fundamental belief that when people feel happy on the inside their general health and wellbeing is improved on the outside. Bringing out the best in residents is what we at Notaro are good at. Building confidence, friendships, communities and providing individualised care, form the beating heart of every Notaro home.

Established in 1984 by me, managing director, Mr Nunzio Notaro and my wife Constance, we launched our first Notaro care home in Torquay, Devon. Since then our company has grown the portfolio, with 11 homes now spanning 3 counties;  Somerset, North Somerset and Devon, and we’ve extended our range of services delivered within all of our homes.

Our family run organisation remains loyal to our core principals set out back in 1984; we remain committed to delivering not just good, but exceptional care to residents and we extend that support to our resident’s family and friends. We are regarded as a leading provider of quality care homes and services by healthcare professionals and the general public alike.

Why we stand out from other care providers

We understand that everyone’s needs are different and we seek to understand how an individual would like to receive care before we start to deliver care. We look at the person in the whole and each individual care package is designed to meet the emotional and physical needs of each, and every, resident.

Investing in our most valuable assets

First and foremost, we are carers but we are also innovators. We invest in the latest innovations, technology and staff training to ensure we support our residents and their family’s by making the most of the latest design innovations and technologies. Our members within our care team are our most valuable assets. They go much further than delivering care, they offer friendship and emotional support and in return, we ensure they are fully supported in their personal development, through our training and upskilling programme.

As a family business, where everyone contributes to the success of the business and to improving the quality of resident’s lives, it is our fundamental belief, and our mission, to ensure that residents feel happy on the inside with their general health and wellbeing improved on the outside.
