December marked the most festive and bustling month of the year in the Notaro Care Home calendar! After the whirlwind of fun and festivities, our dedicated Notaro Care Home staff, along with residents, friends, and family, certainly deserve to put their feet up for a well-deserved rest.
From commemorating special 100th birthdays, Christmas Tree competitions, and cathedral outings, to visits from Frederick the Snowman and Santa – we cherished every moment of December, and we’re excited to share these heart-warming experiences with you!
Aspen Court
Marvellous Market Fun
Christmas markets hold a magical allure during the holiday season. Whether enjoying the delicious scents, seeking gift inspiration, or simply soaking in the festive spirit, it’s the perfect way to spend a December day!
Aspen Court hosted its own Christmas Market, featuring delightful treasures and treats. The day was even more glamorous with a visit from Sarah, the current titleholder of Mrs Regency International. Sarah kindly shared cards and gifts with the residents, and some even had the chance to try on her crown! The day ended with carol singing, mince pies, and non-alcoholic mulled wine.
Raffles and Reminiscing
Festive cheer at Aspen Court continued with a visit from Santa and a raffle that raised over £400 for the residents’ fund! This year, residents enjoyed a trip down memory lane with a reminiscence activity, sharing stories of magical childhood Christmases.
New Year’s Eve Afternoon Fun
To kick off the celebrations, New Year’s Eve started with an afternoon of party-popping fun with a specially crafted clock striking midnight! Residents and staff sang Auld Lang Syne, danced the afternoon away, and celebrated with Nozecco and homemade popping candy chocolate.
Casa di Lusso
Casa di Lusso Elf Day
Casa di Lusso held its very own Elf Day – a heart-warming and magical experience. Local school children from Kingsmoor Primary School treated the residents to a delightful carol service, creating beautiful memories. We’re grateful for our caring resident family members who helped organise and support these events.
Decking the Halls
From twinkling lights to decking the dazzling halls, Christmas at Casa Di Lusso was celebrated in style. Residents and staff donned Santa hats and elegant outfits, enjoying a delicious Christmas lunch. The community raised an incredible £330 with their Christmas raffle and were joined by Reverend Catherine and special guest Gilda for an extra special Christmas service.
Christmas Jumper Day
The Casa di Lusso Christmas Jumper Day was a blast!
With an incredible turnout from staff, residents, and even some family members, the festive fun was infectious. Congratulations to the amazing winners among our residents and staff – your holiday spirit truly shone through!
Clarence Park
Embracing the Holiday Spirit
Clarence Park Residential and Nursing Home fully embraced the holiday spirit with beautiful Christmas decorations, delightful scenes, and scrumptious brownies. The magic continued with an enchanting grotto unveiled just before Christmas, creating memorable moments over the festive week.
A wonderful visit from Corpus Christi Primary School added to the joy, with children singing carols, writing cards, and sharing special moments with residents.
Immaculata House
Residents at Immaculata House experienced a magical day at Sanders Garden Centre, surrounded by stunning Christmas decorations.
Stuart House Care Home
Residents and staff at Stuart House Care Home went all out, decorating their halls from top to bottom with handmade decorations, spreading warmth and joy throughout. A delightful trip to Wells Cathedral added to the festive spirit, with residents enjoying the beauty and stunning architecture of the city.
La Fontana
La Fontana’s Christmas tree sparkled with love and homemade charm! Residents crafted beautiful handmade decorations, from whimsical paper chains to adorable snowmen and decorated baubles, each ornament telling a unique story.
