Clarence Park is preparing to set sail on their ‘simulated’ cruise next week.

Residents at Clarence Park Nursing Home are embarking on a week-long cruise (starting Monday 9th March, on Commonwealth Day).
Each day they will explore the culture and cuisine of different European destinations, that residents have requested to ‘visit’.
With their boarding passes in hand, residents will ‘cruise’ to France on Monday, Italy on Tuesday, Spain on Wednesday, Germany on Thursday and finishing back in the UK on Friday!
The home will be ‘postcard-perfect’ with different themed decorations each day to reflect their ‘arrival’ in another country.

Friday will feature a ‘Captain’s Table’ themed lunch with a full three-course meal. Everyone is invited to dress up in their best – hats and tails!

Speaking of their travels, Clarence Park’s activities coordinator, Clare said:

“I have done this before, and it’s a great week. The activities and games will all be culturally based; a daily quiz and research on each country so we can learn about the cultures.
Most of our residents have traveled, so the week ahead will offer reflection and for them to share their experiences and reminisce.”

You are all invited to join them on their ‘cruise’.
Please let the home know in advance if you wish to book a place for lunch ‘on board’ the ‘Clarence Ship’ during the week – 01934 629374.
