International Nurses Day celebrations at La Fontana

La Fontana nursing home in Martock, celebrates International Nurses Day with their team on Saturday 12th May.

The 12th May is the anniversary of Florence Nightingale’s birth; the iconic founder of modern day nursing. Therefore people all over the world, unite and celebrate this day, to show their appreciation for today’s ‘Florence Nightingales.’ And the wonderful work and contributions they make to our society.

La Fontana celebrate their nurses, by putting on a public display in the reception; as a result providing information about the celebration. Then presenting the team with a home made themed cake.

Our residents, relatives and team are all lovely, we are a family here. Being a nurse at La Fontana is very rewarding, I get to improve my skills and go home knowing that I made someone comfortable and happy.
