Clarence park and Stuart house enjoy lunch together at The Blitz Tearoom…

The Blitz tearoom in Weston-super-Mare was set up by ex army corporal, Michelle Austin, celebrating the 1940s era. Offering homemade cakes, snacks and tea & coffee; served from vintage china, while surrounded by 1940’s music & memorabilia.

Residents enjoyed ordering food from a rations book and exploring the surroundings. They took the chance to look at war time books, listen to music and have a sing along, which as a result led to a dance with the activities coordinator, Pauline.

Both Clarence Park and Stuart House residents discussed and compared their experiences during the war; building positive relationships between the two care homes.

I would like to thank the Blitz Tearoom for a fantastic lunch and their outstanding customer service. Everyone is looking forward to visiting again!
