The Limes take a week’s Camping Holiday

Staff and service users from The Limes Unit, Taunton, packed their bags and set off in the Home’s mini bus to travel down to their camping site in Mill Park, Combe Martin, Ilfracombe.

Once the camp site was set up, with their tents, camp fire and chairs, they set off to explore their new surroundings for the week.

They enjoyed taking in the natural beauty on the many nature walks, visiting Damien Hirst’s Verity; a 66 foot tall bronze sculpture of a pregnant woman holding a sword whilst standing on legal books. They took a coastal cruise, visited a circus, went fishing and enjoyed camp life by the fire, tasting marshmallows and playing Bop it!

At the end of the week, Dot, Limes Manager, presented all the service users with prizes of chocolate disks. The categories were;

  • Loudest snorer
  • Walked the most
  • Funniest person
  • Keeping the camp awake
  • Lighting the best fire
  • Best Dancer
  • Tidiest Tent

They all had a fantastic week and can’t wait to plan their next holiday.
