Cedar Lodge have been very busy with the Archie Project…

Cedar Lodge have been paired with Wellsprings Primary School for four months now, raising awareness of Dementia in their local community together through The Archie Project; Archie, a brightly coloured, cheerful, knitted scarecrow is created to dismiss the stigma and fear related with Dementia.

Over the past months Cedar Lodge residents and Wellsprings Children have been working on life stories and this week the children presented the stories and gave a heart-warming account of their experiences on the project.

They then later presented the residents with a posy of roses.

Their next event will be an Archie garden party – The children from Wellsprings and the Turtle dove man will be singing Archie’s song. And enjoying ice cream from an ice cream van.
