Our care homes took part in the World’s biggest coffee morning

On Friday 26th September, our care homes were ready to be part of the world’s biggest coffee morning, raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Macmillan is a support system for all those affected by cancer, offering emotional and physical support, advice and financial help. They provide this constant support from diagnosis, to treatment and beyond.

Clarence Park, Campania, Aspen Court, Immacolata House and La Fontana welcomed friends and relatives to come and enjoy their coffee morning.

Residents had helped bake some of the many wonderful cakes on offer; there were competitions and games played, music and, of course, Tea & Coffee.

Due to Cedar Lodge having a wonderful triple celebration party the day before, they decided to raise money for Macmillan in a different way, an Ice Bucket Challenge! Mark, maintenance person for Cedar Lodge, tried to get away with not taking part by challenging Cedar Lodge to raise £50, Well Cedar actually raised £61 for Macmillan, so Mark endured his fate!

We are pleased to announce that Notaro Homes raised a wonderful £364.37!

Well done everyone!
