Care Provided

At Notaro Care Homes we value the people who live in our care homes and provide an individualised care package to suit each person's needs and wants.

People considering moving into one of our homes and their supporting family and friends are always welcome to make visits to see all we have to offer and how the home feels to them. Prior to admitting a person, we like to talk to them and the people who care for them to find out as much as we can about the individual.

We encourage people who live in our care homes to bring their life in with them. We will provide social care that suits the individual person and wherever possible encourage them to carry on and live as before. We encourage purposeful activities that suit the individual such as cooking, cleaning, shopping and gardening.

The environments in our homes are designed to be enabling; to encourage independence and to allow people to live in the way they wish, in line with their wants and needs.

A plan of care drawn up is drawn up for each person. This is done with the individual and others who know them and care about them. We use person centred care planning with each individual's care plan being tailored made to their wants and needs. All staff involved in the individual's care know the person through their care plan.

All our staff team are vetted before they commence work to ensure it is appropriate for them to work with vulnerable people. All of our staff team start to receive training from the first day they join us when they commence a 12 week induction programme. This leads on to a NVQ Level 2 in care and continued professional development for all our staff. We have a training manager who co-ordinates the training programme. We ensure our staff team receive the specialised training needed to enable them to understand and meet the needs and wants of the people in our care.

Everyone coming into contact with our services is actively encouraged to give us their views on our care homes whenever they want to. Additionally, surveys are sent out at least annually to the people who come into contact with our services including residents, relatives, supporting friends and health care professionals. In such ways we recognise that quality assurance and monitoring is crucial to all aspects of our business and in evidencing the consistently high standards of delivery we strive for. Our Operations Manager conducts monthly monitoring visits in our homes to ensure standards including all current legislation are being adhered to.

We operate homes that provide residential care for people with dementia and homes that provide nursing care for people living with dementia. We also operate general nursing homes and specialist homes registered to provide care to people living with mental health problems, including those cause by past or present alcohol dependence. We do not provide services for people who continue to abuse alcohol.
