Vane Hill Resident Achieves Award

Paula Parker, a resident at Vane Hill in Torquay, has achieved an NVQ2 in Support Services.  To achieve a level 2 you have to show that you have a solid foundation in cleaning skills and demonstrate ability in a wide range of cleaning areas - these include communicating with staff and residents, safe working habits and a choice of specialist cleaning skills. Residents at Vane Hill are encouraged to study for NVQ qualifications as part of a programme to equip residents for a return to independent living.
