Somerset County Cup

The sun shone all day as on Wellington Rugby Club under 9's children played their way to the final of the 2009 Somerset County Cup. The progress this group of friends has made over the season has been hugely impressive as has their determination to have bags of fun! Wellington wore their Notaro Care Homes sponsored shirts with pride as they won group A with convincing victories over Cheddar and Yatton before playing their best rugby of the season in beating Chew Valley in the semi final. The close fought final against Winscombe RFC was played at great pace with wonderful skills on display. The large and vocal crowd was magnificently entertained by both sides with the impressively drilled boys from Winscombe eventually winning 3 tries to nil.
