Champions Retain Title

Wellington RFC under 9's are the Cheddar Rugby Festival 2009 winners, retaining the title they won in 2008. The lads wore their Notaro Care Homes sponsored shirts with pride as they finished top of group B having played games against strong opposition from across Somerset, Wiltshire and Bristol.

In a hard fought and thrilling final in which all the squad members played with great commitment for each other Wellington defeated a hugely impressive Taunton side 3 tries to nil.

The squad will now have a well earned rest for the summer after their most successful season to date, having played in the final of both the Somerset County Cup and the Cheddar Festival. The boys of girls of Wellington Rugby Club make friends and have fun while playing sport to a high standard. Notaro Care Homes would like to take this opportunity to thank the kids and everybody involved at the club for all their hard work. We are delighted to have been able to help this group of kids represent their club and us in such a positive way.
