National Care Home Open Day in our homes a huge success…

We were thrilled to take part in the National Care Home Open Day on Friday 16th June.

Thousands of care homes in the UK take part, each year; they welcome in the public and arrange activities and events. Therefore creating permanent links between care homes and their local community.

The open days are fantastic for highlighting what excellent care homes are really about.

 

Casa di Lusso (Bridgwater)

Casa di Lusso held a summer fete that included;

Live Music
Raffle – With wonderful prizes donated by Brainwave – Brainwave is a charity that helps children with disabilities and additional needs to achieve greater independence .

Cedar Lodge (Taunton)

Cedar Lodge welcomed people to join them for lunch, prepared by Janet, Chef.

After lunch they enjoyed a lovely afternoon in the garden with the sun shining. Sounds of the rat pack from live entertainment, topped off with Janet’s cream teas and homemade cupcakes!

Immacolata House (Langport)

Immacolata House held a Summer Fete with Live Music from the Blue Box Band and School children from Curry Rivel Primary school sang to everyone.

The afternoon also included;

Refreshments

Immacolata House raised £500 on the day! All the monies go to the Resident’s activities fund.

Clarence Park (Weston Super Mare)

Clarence Park had a Hog roast in the garden with;

On Sunday, 18th June, Clarence Park residents enjoyed lunch outside, while watching the Weston Air Show. They were joined by family and friends, who enjoyed reminiscing and discussing the battle of Britain Flight and the Red Arrows…
